Which Manufacturer Gives
You the Best Finish?
Catalyzed lacquer gives a beautiful durable finish -
One element of the finish is the material
used. A catalyzed lacquer finish is
the standard in the contract
furniture industry. It is the finish
used by all the local manufacturers
and nearly all of the manufacturers
back east. It is durable, stain
resistant and can be field repaired.
So, whose is best?
Woodtech Utilizes
Three-dimensional Construction - So,
why is Woodtech’s finish better
than the others? Most of the
eastern manufacturers do flat-line
finishing. Panels are finished on a
conveyor system prior to assembly. Typically,
this results in a very nice finish, but it
also restricts the assembly process
because the components come to
the assembly area already
finished.
Furniture then has to be assembled
using exposed fasteners; cleats and
cam-locks. See below.

This is not
the way Woodtech does
it. Woodtech does three Dimensional
finishing. We build the
furniture first from
top quality architectural
solids and veneers and then
our master finishers apply the
finish to the fully
assembled piece. This
results in a more consistent
application of stains and lacquers,
and a better finish match from
one element to another.

Wiping Stain by hand
Three
dimensional finishing also results
in stronger construction -Woodtech uses clamped lamello and
spline joinery, which gives your
client a stronger product –stronger bookcases with glued ¾” thick
back panels, no exposed cleats
in overhead cabinets, desks and
credenzas with
old fashioned
glue joinery that
allows them
to be moved
without weakening
joints and racking drawers.
Also, notice the machined edges of
the return and the desk. |

When assembled,
they will fit perfectly. Look
for that in the best quality case goods.

Three
Dimensional Construction
Equally important; Woodtech applies
the top coat of lacquer in a positive
air flow environment; so the
finish is virtually dust free.

Applying the final coat of lacquer
The end-result is a product that is beautifully
finished and built like a tank!

The Answer is Woodtech!
