D. SCHOOL, STANFORD

The co-directors of the d.school Environments Collaborative, Scott Doorley and Scott Witthoft, envisioned unique furniture that reflects the Institute's mission to develop innovative, collaborative solutions to real-world challenges. Woodtech willing experimented and then ultimately built one-of-a-kind pieces for this interactive environment. Woodtech incorporated non-traditional materials in creative ways, using 3-Form resin, corian, acoustical foam, gator board, acrylic panels recycled from a Stanford engineering research project.

Woodtech’s work is featured in a book about the d.school environment by Doorley and Witthoft called Make Space.
