Certifications


Woodtech maintains the following certifications in order to bring additional benefits to each client’s project and to ensure the most responsible work practices.


FSC® CHAIN OF CUSTODY CERTIFIED (License No. FSC-C107294)

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is a nongovernmental organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) tracks FSC-certified material through the production process—from the forest to the consumer—with its CoC documentation. Woodtech clients support environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management worldwide. FSC certification may contribute to LEED accreditation.

CARB II COMPLIANT

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has set new limits for formaldehyde emitted from composite wood panels, with final limits in place by 2012. All Woodtech panels meet the CARB II standards, so clients’ furniture passes the toughest production standard in the world for formaldehyde emissions.

ISO 9001 : 2015 CERTIFIED

ISO 9001 is the international standard for the quality management of manufacturers, currently being used by over 1 million organizations in 170 countries worldwide. Woodtech clients benefit because Woodtech has adopted project management levels that are highly efficient and compatible with other global suppliers.

MINORITY BUSINESS CERTIFIED

The Minority Business Development Agency, a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, is committed to supporting and promoting minority communities. Woodtech clients are not only getting superior service and products but also are contributing to community sustainability by strengthening small business and minority cultures.

MADE IN THE USA STANDARD

The Federal Trade Commission states that for a "Made in USA" claim to be accurate, all significant parts, processing and labor that go into the product must be of U.S. origin. Woodtech clients support the US economy, and Woodtech can ensure the highest quality through controlling all the labor and virtually all the materials.

SMALL BUSINESS CERTIFIED

The U.S. Small Business Administration counsels and protects the interests of small business concerns, to maintain and strengthen the overall US economy. Woodtech clients receive the individualized, focused service of a committed and thriving small business—yet receive products of world-class quality.

IPPC CERTIFIED

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations established the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) to coordinate action to control the introduction and global spread of pests of plants, which can devistae crops. Woodtech clients help control economically devastating pests, protect the environment from loss of species diversity, and help to prevent disease outbreaks.

SLEB CERTIFICATION

Woodtech has qualified locally as a Small, Local and Emerging Business (SLEB). The program was developed to promote and foster inclusiveness, diversity and economic development, as well as provide on-going evaluation to ensure that all local businesses are provided equal opportunities in local county contracting and procurement activities.
